Dr. Petersen and his wife Sarah were born and raised in the Brigham City and Perry, UT areas. They never thought they would be back in Cache Valley but couldn’t be happier! Dr. Petersen graduated from Utah State University and then went on to finish dental school in Dallas, TX at Texas A&M-Baylor College of Dentistry (now just Texas A&M School of Dentistry). He completed an additional, one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID.
Dr. Petersen is experienced in all aspects of dentistry including; wisdom teeth removal, placing and restoring implants, root canals, crowns and bridges, esthetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry and fillings. If you have anxiety about dental care or just want to be more comfortable when you’re in the dental chair, Dr. Petersen has extensive training in sedation dentistry. There are many options for you: laughing gas (nitrous oxide), oral sedation and IV sedation.
